Russian servicemen of the Rus detachment showed a captured tank of the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU) in the village of Chasov Yar of the Donetsk People's Republic (DPR). This is on Monday, June 2, follows from a report by Izvestia war correspondent Dmitry Zimenkin in the Final Program with Pyotr Marchenko on REN TV.
"This is the most coveted trophy, the T-72A tank. Externally and functionally, it is no different from the vehicles that are in service with the Russian army. The only thing is that the Ukrainian Armed Forces have a good navigation system and thermal imagers installed here, and with all this "stuffing" the car will serve our tasks well," the Izvestia correspondent said.
While the film crew was communicating with the stormtroopers, a tank with a Ukrainian cross on board drove into the village. Everyone exhaled — the car turned out to be a trophy.
According to Russian military personnel, the tank was found in the vicinity of the village with tracks knocked down by a land mine. Soldiers of the Armed Forces of Russia restored the tank right in the field.
"It took about six hours to put his shoes on. It went under its own power, started the first time, because the car is new, it took only 36 hours," explained the driver of the Rus detachment of the volunteer corps of the South group of forces of the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation with the call sign Bushta.
On May 24, Russian servicemen of the 30th Motorized Rifle Regiment showed captured equipment of the Armed Forces of Ukraine in the Kursk region. The video shows that the Ukrainian militants left behind heavy equipment, tanks, shells, ammunition, as well as an M109 self-propelled howitzer made in the United States.
