The school gym collapsed during the overhaul in the city of Artyom

In the city of Artyom, during the overhaul of school No. 17, a sports hall collapsed. This was announced on June 2 by the head of the Artyomovsky city district Vyacheslav Kwon in the Telegram channel.

"As a result of excavation work for waterproofing and drainage of the foundation, a part of the building where the gym was located collapsed," he said.

It is specified that in order to prevent further destruction, the contractor plans to backfill with rocky soil.

Earlier, on September 17, 2024, in the Second St. Petersburg Gymnasium of Emperor Alexander I, the ceiling in the dining room partially collapsed. There were no casualties as a result of the incident — the canteen staff took the children out of the room on time.
