Sudan's Prime Minister Kamil Idris has dissolved the interim Government. This was reported on June 1 by the Reuters news agency, citing the state-run SUNA news agency.

"The new Prime Minister of Sudan, Kamil Idris, has dissolved the interim government of the country," the statement said.

According to the agency, Idris instructed the ministers and their deputies to perform their duties until the formation of a new cabinet. There was no information about the date of the announcement of new cabinet members.

Earlier, on May 23, it became known that the United States would impose sanctions against Sudan for the alleged use of chemical weapons. According to the US State Department, Sudan did not adhere to the law of the CWC (Convention on the Prohibition of Chemical Weapons), to which it is a party.
