Rafal Trzaskowski, candidate of the ruling Civic Coalition party and mayor of Warsaw, is leading in the second round of the presidential election in Poland. This is on Sunday, May 1, according to the IPSOS exit poll data provided by TVP Info.

Trzaskowski received the support of 50.3% of voters, while his opponent, chairman of the opposition Law and Justice party Karol Navrotsky, respectively, scored 40.7% of the vote.

It is expected that the exact result will be announced on Monday, June 2, in the morning.

In Poland, on May 18, voting took place in the first round of the country's presidential election. Trzaskowski and Navrotsky advanced to the second round.

On May 30, Polish Prime Minister Donald Tusk called for voting for the mayor of Warsaw because of the difficulty of his surname for Germans. According to him, Trzaskowski is an obvious choice for any true Polish patriot.
