Rescuers eliminated an active burning in the Gorenje nature reserve in the Lipetsk region.

The active gorenje on the territory of the Voronezh Biosphere Reserve in the Usmansky district of the Lipetsk region has been eliminated. This was announced on June 1 by the press service of the Main Directorate (GU) of the Ministry of Emergency Situations of Russia in the Lipetsk region.

"For several days, specialists from various departments and organizations have been fighting around the clock with a fire that engulfed the forest area of the Usmansky district. At this time, there is no active burning at all," reads a message posted on the official Telegram channel of the department.Gorenje

The Ministry of Emergency Situations added that spot pockets of smoke are still observed on the territory of the reserve.

Fires are being extinguished by more than 3,000 people, and the number of specialists in difficult regions is constantly increasing.

On the same day, the Ministry of Emergency Situations announced the localization of the fire in the reserve on an area of 500 hectares. In total, 94 units of specialized equipment, including fire trucks, and 280 people were involved in extinguishing the fire.
