The central office of the Investigative Committee took control of the investigation into the murder of a girl in Moscow

The Central Office of the Investigative Committee of Russia (IC RF) is monitoring the progress of the criminal investigation into the murder of a 17-year-old girl who was stabbed at least once. This was announced on June 1 by the press service of the department.

"The head of the Investigative Committee of Russia [Alexander Bastrykin] will be presented with a report on the progress of the investigation of the criminal case into the murder of a minor in Moscow," follows from a publication on the Telegram channel.

It is specified that on May 31, 2025, a young man killed a 17-year-old girl during a conflict motivated by jealousy. The minor died from her injuries at the scene. After that, the attacker committed suicide.

The prosecutor's office of the capital reported on May 31 that the incident occurred on Beskudnikovsky Boulevard of the city. After the crime, investigators opened a criminal case under Part 2 of Article 105 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation ("Murder").
