- A passenger told about the first seconds after the train crash in the Bryansk region

Passenger Evgeny Martyrenko, who was traveling on a train that crashed in the Bryansk region, spoke about the fear of passengers in the first seconds after the incident. He informed Izvestia about this on June 1.
"The first impression is, of course, shock, fright from a sudden strong blow," he said.
According to him, people were scared and confused. Despite this, passengers began to pack up and get off the train.
"It was evening, I was resting, and suddenly there was a strong blow. Then we were shaking and [there was] a stop. It all happened in just a few seconds, but it seemed like a lot more time had passed," shared Martyrenko.
The man was riding on the top shelf and hit the wall hard at the time of the emergency.
On the evening of May 31, a bridge with cars collapsed on the Klimov–Moscow passenger train in the Bryansk region. The Investigative Committee of Russia (IC RF) confirmed that the collapse occurred as a result of an explosion.
The governor of the region, Alexander Bogomaz, announced on June 1 that the number of victims of the emergency was 71 people. In addition, seven people died, and June 2, 3, and 4 were declared days of mourning.
