The commander of the Ukrainian Ground Forces has resigned.

The commander of the Ukrainian Ground Forces, Mikhail Drapaty, announced his decision to resign after a strike on a training unit of the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU), which killed 12 soldiers. He announced this on June 1 in his Telegram channel.
"I have decided to submit a resignation letter from the post of Commander of the Ground Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. This is a deliberate step dictated by my personal sense of responsibility for the attack on the 239th training ground," he said.
Drapaty noted that "mutual responsibility and impunity" remain in the Armed Forces of Ukraine, despite the fact that he allegedly tried to fight them.
On the same day, the Ground Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine announced that a missile strike had been launched at the location of their training unit. 12 people were reported dead and more than 60 injured. The Russian Defense Ministry did not comment on this information.
