Dzyuba extended his contract with Akron for one season

Football player Artyom Dzyuba has extended his contract with the Tolyatti club Akron for one season. This was announced on June 1 by the press service of the football club.

"Artyom Dzyuba remains at Akron! The striker, who became the top scorer of Russian football in our club's T—shirt, has signed a contract for another season," the press release says.

The club noted that last season Dzyuba played 22 matches in the RPL, scored nine goals and provided seven assists, and in the Russian Cup he played two games and scored one goal.

On May 2, Dzyuba scored the 240th goal of his professional career and set a new record for goals among Russian football players. He scored the winning goal in the 74th minute in the match of the 27th round of the Russian Premier League against Dynamo Makhachkala.
