A resident of Murmansk, who opened fire from the roof of a house in March this year, died in hospital. This was reported to Izvestia on June 1 in the press service of the Investigative Committee for the Murmansk region.

It is specified that the man did not regain consciousness.

Eyewitnesses reported shooting on the roof of an apartment building in Murmansk on March 30. Vladislav Zavgorodny, the shooter, refused to negotiate with the emergency services who arrived at the scene, which is why law enforcement officers decided to neutralize him. The shooter was wounded during the assault, and he was under guard in a medical facility in serious condition.

A criminal case has been opened on the fact of an attempt on the life of law enforcement officers under Article 317 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation ("Encroachment on the life of a law enforcement officer").
