The award ceremony for the laureates of the Conversations about Important Award was held in Moscow

As part of the Movement of the First festival, a solemn ceremony of awarding the Conversations about Important prize was held at VDNH in Moscow on June 1.

"For three years now, every Monday in all schools of the country and colleges of the country begins with the playing of the anthem of the Russian Federation, the flag is raised and a lesson on "Talking about important things" is held. This feeling of pride with which the children treat the Russian flag and anthem is the result of the tremendous work of educators and teachers," First Deputy Head of the Presidential Administration of the Russian Federation Sergey Kiriyenko emphasized during his speech.

He noted the importance of the fact that in such lessons children are taught values and beliefs, instilling love for their country. Leonid Roshal, President of the Research Institute of Emergency Pediatric Surgery and Traumatology, was also awarded during the ceremony.

"On behalf of all my friends, I would like to thank everyone who was somehow involved in the creation and implementation of the Conversations about Important project for the opportunity to talk every day with the children of our country about what is really relevant and important here and now," said Kristina Chokheli, an elementary school teacher from Moscow and an award winner.

On May 19, Russian President Vladimir Putin signed an order on the establishment of an interdepartmental working group on the education of children and youth. The tasks assigned to the group will include coordinating the activities of federal authorities in the field of child and youth education, developing a unified educational space, and developing and supporting projects aimed at educating and promoting traditional Russian spiritual and moral values among children and youth.
