Three train crew members were injured in an emergency on a railway bridge near Zheleznogorsk in the Kursk region. This was announced on June 1 by the acting governor of the region, Alexander Khinshtein.
He clarified that the train crew, the driver and two assistants had been diagnosed with numerous bruises.
"All of them were taken to Zheleznogorsk hospital last night. They were examined by doctors. The condition is satisfactory," Khinstein wrote on his Telegram channel.
The governor added that the railway management had sent people to the Russian Railways Medicine Design Bureau in Kursk, where the victims were provided with all necessary medical and psychological support.
According to Izvestia correspondent Tatiana Simonenkova, investigative actions are currently taking place behind the cordon.
In the Kursk region, a bridge collapsed on June 1 during the movement of a freight train. Some of the wagons fell onto the highway under the bridge. A criminal case was opened on this fact.
