In the Leningrad region, two schoolgirls died when a slab collapsed on an abandoned farm. Footage from the scene is available to Izvestia on June 1.

The incident occurred on May 31. The footage shows that the girls were bricking the dilapidated wall of an abandoned slaughterhouse. As a result, she collapsed along with a concrete slab on the ceiling.

According to preliminary information, the girls were filming a video — a phone with a recording was later found on the windowsill. This was told by the father of one of the victims.

"The main thing is that they knew not to go there. They knew," he said.

The man noted that the old building, located on the edge of the village, was not fenced in. According to him, there were other children on the premises at the time of the incident, but they were not injured.

The Investigative Committee has opened a criminal case into the incident.

On May 22, two schoolchildren aged 11 and 12 were hospitalized in Balashikha, Moscow region, after a concrete slab fell on them. One child was taken to the hospital with fractures of the shin and pelvic bones, the second suffered an abdominal injury, spinal cord injury and traumatic shock.
