A passenger who survived the collapse of a bridge onto a train in the Bryansk region told Izvestia on June 1 about the first seconds of the incident.

According to Elena, she was in a sitting carriage when there was a loud bang.

"I hit my knee hard on the front seat — I was sitting down. My bag flew five meters away, it was heavy," she shared.

The woman added that all passengers from her carriage were injured.
