Boris Mironov was appointed head coach of Tolyatti HC Lada

Boris Mironov was appointed the new head coach of the Tolyatti hockey club HC Lada. This was announced on June 1 on the hockey club's website.

"Welcome to Tolyatti, Boris Olegovich! A completely updated Lada coaching staff will be presented in the near future," the publication says.

It is noted that he replaced Pavel Zubov, who had been in charge of the team since February.

As follows from the material, Mironov is a graduate of the CSKA hockey school and an Honored Master of Sports of Russia. In his career, he won the silver medal in 1998 and the bronze in 2002. He played an impressive 741 games in the NHL, defending the colors of such teams as the Winnipeg Jets, Edmonton Oilers, Chicago Blackhawks and New York Rangers.

Mironov started his coaching career in 2015. He led the Red Army team in the Youth Hockey League, and then led CSKA in the same league. Before the start of the 2018/19 season, Mironov joined the coaching staff of Neftekhimik from Nizhnekamsk, and in the 2021/22 season he was the head coach of Spartak Moscow.

Nizhny Novgorod hockey club Torpedo announced on May 30 the appointment of Alexey Isakov as the head coach of the team. It is reported that before being appointed head coach, Isakov worked for two seasons in the club's system.
