Russian Minister of Health Mikhail Murashko reported to Russian President Vladimir Putin on measures to provide assistance to victims of the train accident in the Bryansk region. This was announced on June 1 by Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov.
"Minister of Health Murashko reported to the head of state on the measures being taken to help those injured on the railway in the Bryansk region," he told reporters.
Earlier in the day, Peskov stressed that Putin had been receiving reports on train accidents in the Kursk and Bryansk regions throughout the night. He clarified that the reports to the head of state were received through the FSB and the Ministry of Emergency Situations of the Russian Federation.
The collapse of a bridge in the Bryansk region with cars on it on the Klimov – Moscow passenger train happened on the evening of May 31. The Investigative Committee of the Russian Federation confirmed that the collapse occurred as a result of an explosion.
