Russian President Vladimir Putin has sent congratulations to Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan on his 50th birthday. This was announced on June 1 on the Kremlin's website.

According to the Russian leader, Russia and Armenia have strong friendly ties. He noted that through joint efforts it is possible to achieve further progress in the development of bilateral relations in all areas.

"This undoubtedly meets the fundamental interests of our peoples and is in line with strengthening stability, security and prosperity in the Eurasian space," Putin said.

The Russian President wished the Prime Minister good health, happiness and success in his government activities.

On April 28, Pashinyan stated that Armenia does not intend to sever relations with Russia. According to him, Russian-Armenian relations are based and will continue to be based on the mutual interests of the two countries.

Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov said on April 3 that Russia and Armenia, despite attempts to undermine relations between the countries from the outside, manage to maintain a high level of political dialogue.
