A bridge that collapsed onto railway tracks was blown up while a train was moving in the Bryansk region. This was announced on June 1 by the governor of the region, Alexander Bogomaz.

"There was a bridge explosion on the highway during the movement of the train, where there were 388 passengers," Bogomaz said on the Rossiya 24 TV channel.

According to Bogomaz, the victims of the train accident in the Bryansk region were promptly hospitalized. Also, he added, the eight-month-old boy will soon be sent to Moscow for treatment.

In addition, the governor drew attention to the coordinated work of all regional services at the emergency site.

The collapse of the bridge with cars on it onto the Klimov– Moscow passenger train happened on the evening of May 31. According to the press service of the Moscow Railway (MZhD), this was due to "illegal interference in the activities of transport." The Moscow Transport Prosecutor's Office has begun an inspection.

According to the latest data, the death toll is seven people. The train driver and his assistant were killed. As a result of the bridge collapse, 47 people were hospitalized, including three children.
