Victims of a train derailment due to a bridge collapse in the Bryansk region actively helped each other. A passenger in one of the carriages told Izvestia about this on June 1.

"We helped each other a lot when we had to go out. It's not like there were people falling on the platform at all. But the big guys supported the grandparents. Then it was necessary to climb the hill, where the bridge is. Can you imagine, guys, all these suitcases are stolen. We were crawling there," the woman said.

She added that they were met on the bridge by a man who advised people to get out on the road. Subsequently, emergency personnel met the victims on the roadway.

The collapse of the bridge with cars on it onto the Klimov – Moscow passenger train occurred on the evening of May 31. According to the press service of the Moscow Railway (MZhD), the collapse occurred due to "illegal interference in the activities of transport." The Moscow Transport Prosecutor's Office has begun an inspection.

According to the latest data, the death toll is seven people. Another 30 people were injured, including two minors. It is also known about the death of the train driver and his assistant.
