In the Republic of Buryatia, the area of forest fires has increased to 115,950 hectares. This was announced on June 1 by the Forestry Agency of Buryatia in its Telegram channel.
"According to operational data, on the morning of June 1, 18 forest fires are active: in Barguzinsky, Bauntovsky, Evenki, Yeravninsky, Zaigraevsky, Kizhinginsky and Selenginsky districts," the report said.
490 people and 89 units of special equipment are working to extinguish fires.
