In the Bryansk region, after the collapse of the bridge, traffic was temporarily blocked on a section of the A-240 highway. This was announced by Rosavtodor on Sunday, June 1.
"Due to the destruction of the overpass over the railway tracks, from 23:10 (Moscow time) on May 31 on the [section] of the A-240 Bryansk – Novozybkov highway – border with the Republic of Belarus (Bryansk region) traffic is closed," the agency said in a Telegram post.
It is specified that the detour is organized through the village of Vygonichi.
The collapse of the bridge with cars on it onto the Klimov–Moscow passenger train occurred on the evening of May 31. The governor of the region, Alexander Bogomaz, reported that there were casualties.
According to the press service of the Moscow Railway (MZhD), the collapse occurred due to "illegal interference in the activities of transport." The Moscow Transport Prosecutor's Office has begun an inspection.
