Private Sergei Kleshnin was driving a truck and carrying out the task of delivering Russian military personnel to the front lines when he noticed a kamikaze drone of the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU) approaching the car. The Russian Ministry of Defense on Sunday, June 1, told about the exploits of Russian servicemen in the area of the special military operation (SVO).

Kleshnin quickly changed his trajectory, avoiding the impact of an unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV). The drone crashed into the ground and exploded. Following him, the car tried to attack another Ukrainian drone, but Kleshnin performed another skillful maneuver, avoiding a collision. As a result, the private successfully delivered the soldiers to the designated point.

The Russian Defense Ministry also noted the professional actions and courage of the guard of Junior Sergeant Nikolai Poroshin, who patrolled the area using a drone and uncovered disguised concentrations of personnel and equipment of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. During an inspection of the area, Poroshin noticed a Baba Yaga-type enemy UAV moving in the direction of the Russian evacuation group with a wounded serviceman. Poroshin decided to prevent an attack on the group and hit the APU drone, damaging its propeller. The enemy UAV lost control and crashed to the ground, detonating at a safe distance from the group of the Russian Armed Forces.

Earlier, on May 31, the Russian Defense Ministry reported that the radiotelephonist of the communications platoon of the assault squad, Private Alexander Sumarokov, was tasked with restoring the communications repeater, which was damaged as a result of artillery fire from the side.
