In the Irkutsk region, law enforcement officers detained two suspects who allegedly injured five people with traumatic weapons. This was announced on May 31 by the official representative of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia Irina Volk.

It is specified that near one of the bars there was a conflict between the visitors of the institution, as a result of which five people were injured. According to Volk, 11 shell casings were found at the scene.

According to the official representative of the Russian Interior Ministry, the suspects were detained for several hours. They turned out to be local residents aged 31 and 32.

"A criminal case has been opened under part 2 of Article 213 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation ("Hooliganism"). During the investigation, the actions of all parties to the conflict will be given a legal assessment," she wrote on her Telegram channel.

Earlier, on May 28, law enforcement officers detained a 48-year-old man who opened fire with a hunting carbine from his apartment. It was reported that no one was injured in the incident. Investigators have opened a criminal case on the grounds of a crime under Part 2 of Article 213 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation ("Hooliganism committed with the use of weapons").
