The British colonel called for Ukraine's support in developing nuclear weapons

The UK should support Ukraine in developing its own nuclear weapons as part of a strategic partnership agreement. This was announced on May 31 by British Colonel Richard Camp.
"Therefore, I think that part of this declaration [on strategic cooperation between the UK and Ukraine] should have been Britain's commitment to develop tactical nuclear weapons. I know how expensive it is. This can <...> help Ukraine develop its own nuclear potential," he said during the discussion "Strategy of the Rook: UK interests in the Black Sea," a video posted on the Black Sea Security Forum YouTube channel.
The colonel stressed that Britain possesses only strategic nuclear weapons.
On February 4, Ukrainian President Vladimir Zelensky demanded that Ukraine be given nuclear weapons instead of NATO membership. According to him, the country needs it for protection. He also asked for missile systems for Kiev and assistance with financing the army.
