The Gaza Ministry of Health reported 60 dead and almost 300 injured in a day.

Over the past 24 hours, 60 people have been victims of Israeli strikes on the Gaza Strip, and another 284 civilians have been injured. This was announced on May 31 by the Gaza Ministry of Health.
"Over the past 24 hours, 60 dead and 284 injured have been admitted to hospitals in the Gaza Strip," the agency said, according to the Al-Jazeera news agency.
At the same time, statistics do not reflect data from the northern part of the Gaza Strip due to the lack of access from representatives of the Ministry and doctors.
The report also indicates that the bodies of the dead residents continue to be under the rubble. Doctors and civil defense personnel are still unable to reach the shelled areas to begin search operations.
On May 29, the White House announced that Israel had approved the proposal of the US President's special envoy to the Middle East, Steve Witkoff, and American leader Donald Trump for a peaceful settlement of the conflict in Gaza. It was clarified that Tel Aviv's consent was received before sending the proposal to Hamas.
The Israeli Ynet portal adds that Witkoff's proposal implies an immediate cease-fire in the enclave for 60 days and the release of 10 hostages during the first week in two stages. Hamas will also have to hand over the bodies of 18 dead hostages to Israel. Otherwise, the IDF will be able to resume hostilities.
On the same day, Hamas announced that it was studying the conditions in accordance with the interests of the Palestinian people.
