1,290 residents of the Kursk border region who lost contact with their relatives due to the invasion of the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU) have been found. This was announced on May 31 by the acting governor of the region, Alexander Khinstein, in his Telegram channel.

It is specified that the approximate location of 421 people has also been established. According to the acting governor, the fate of 576 people, including four minors, remains unknown. The search for them is ongoing.

Earlier in the day, the Ukrainian Armed Forces attacked the Rylsky and Lgovsky districts of the Kursk region using unmanned aerial vehicles. According to Khinstein, among the injured in Rylsk, six people are in moderate condition, including two children, one man is in serious condition.
