A man damaged statues of soldiers of the Terracotta Army in China


In China, a tourist damaged the figures of two ancient clay warriors of the ancient Terracotta army. This was reported on May 31 by The Guardian newspaper, citing the Chinese authorities.
It is specified that a 30-year-old man climbed over a fence and jumped into a pit up to 5.4 m deep to the figures of soldiers in the tomb of Emperor Qin Shi Huang. The tourist "pushed and pulled" the clay warriors, as a result of which two of them were injured.
According to police, the man suffers from a mental illness. At the moment, law enforcement officers are conducting an inspection, the museum continues to operate as usual.
On February 7, a vandal damaged antique candelabra in the Vatican's St. Peter's Basilica by climbing onto the altar. The attacker turned out to be a 40-year-old Romanian citizen, whose actions damaged six candelabras.
