Kirill Radchenko, a 13-year-old from the Luhansk People's Republic (LNR), impressed Russian President Vladimir Putin with his athletic achievements, despite a rare illness. On May 31, the boy told Izvestia that he would like to personally meet with the Russian leader.

With a height of 128 cm, Kirill squats with a 115 kg barbell and has already won 50 medals, which he dedicated to Russia. The head of the Circle of Goodness Foundation, Archpriest Alexander Tkachenko, had previously told Putin about the boy's successes. As specified in the official Telegram channel of the government of the LPR, the president could not hide his amazement.

"When I saw and heard this, I was very happy, I was surprised by it very much. I'd like to meet him. I send my regards to him," Kirill shared.

Kirill has achondroplasia, a disease in which there is a growth disorder. As the boy's mother Yulia told Izvestia, Kirill has been involved in sports since the age of four and has great prospects in jiu-jitsu, where he has already won 68 medals, and powerlifting.

On March 8, Maria Lvova-Belova, Commissioner for Children's Rights under the President of the Russian Federation, spoke about the organization of the process of placement in families of children from the Donetsk and Lugansk People's Republics (DPR, LPR).
