The Ministry of Defense showed footage of the liberation of Novopol in the DPR

On May 31, the Russian Ministry of Defense published footage of the liberation of the settlement of Novopol in the DPR, which was liberated by the military personnel of the Vostok group.

During the fighting, the assault units broke through the enemy's defenses with the support of aviation, artillery and UAVs, and then entered the settlement. After suppressing the pockets of resistance of the Ukrainian Armed Forces militants, the military cleared 140 buildings and established full control over the settlement, hoisting Russian flags.

According to the Russian Defense Ministry, units of the Vostok group of forces continue their advance.

Earlier, on May 30, the Ministry of Defense announced the liberation of Kondrashovka in the Kharkiv region. The ministry clarified that the settlement was liberated by units of the Zapad group of forces.
