Thanks to the well-coordinated work of the Moscow fire and rescue garrison, the number of fires has been reduced fourfold. Rescuers arrive at any point in less than seven minutes, while the waiting time for a response in the 112 service has been reduced by more than 12 times, said Moscow Mayor Sergei Sobyanin.

"The Moscow Fire and Rescue garrison has proven more than once that it is ready to respond to incidents of any complexity both in the capital and beyond," Sobyanin wrote on his Telegram channel. He congratulated the employees of the service on Moscow Fire Protection Day, which is celebrated on May 31.

The mayor stressed that the metropolitan authorities support the service and help it develop. "New divisions are being created, modern technology and digital solutions are being introduced, and specialists are regularly undergoing advanced training," Sobyanin said.

Thus, over the past 15 years, more than 700 units of equipment and over 150,000 units of equipment have been purchased. In addition, 53 fire stations were built and renovated, 16 of them in TiNAO.

Many specialists of the Moscow fire and rescue garrison have devoted more than one year to their service, the mayor noted. For example, Boris Parshikov, deputy head of the Moscow Fire and Rescue Center, is a hereditary firefighter. His father worked as a fire truck driver, and his grandfather served as a firefighter in the capital during the Great Patriotic War, Sobyanin said.
