The Ministry of Internal Affairs has warned about a new method of fraud with "Public Services"

Scammers began to force people to call them by numbers that represent the "technical support" of "Public Services". This was reported on May 31 in the press center of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia.

"In 2025, there is a change in both the ways of obtaining unauthorized access to citizens' accounts on the Gosuslugi portal and the goals pursued by intruders. Attackers often force a citizen to contact "technical support" himself, while providing a fake number," the department told the TASS news agency.

The Interior Ministry explained that a letter is sent to a potential victim's e-mail or messenger, informing them of "unlawful access" to "Public Services." The text of the letter calls for contacting "technical support", the number of which belongs to the attackers.

"Being under the psychological influence of the current situation, a citizen calls the specified numbers and falls into the hands of fraudsters," the press center added.

On May 30, employees of the Russian Interior Ministry warned about a new scheme of fraud involving taxi services. According to the agency, attackers gain access to the account of a taxi or delivery driver by deceiving a person to obtain an authorization code.
