- Nebenzia rejected the possibility of a repeat of the situation with the Minsk agreements

Russia will not allow a repeat of the situation with the Minsk agreements, when Moscow was misled to strengthen Kiev's position. This was announced on May 30 by Russia's permanent representative to the UN Vasily Nebenzya.
"This is not a path to peace, but an attempt to take a pause to continue the confrontation. You can't count on that. There will be no repeat of Minsk," he said at a meeting of the UN Security Council.
Nebenzia added that the Russian Armed Forces will be able to continue fighting "as long as necessary," and Russian troops are successfully advancing along almost the entire front line. In addition, the diplomat stated the fundamental importance for Russia of fully resolving the root causes of the conflict "once and for all."
On May 30, Nebenzia named Russia's condition for a cease-fire in Ukraine. According to the diplomat, Moscow will consider the possibility of a ceasefire if Western countries suspend the supply of weapons to Kiev.
