The number of injured increased to 14 people as a result of the attack by unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) The Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU) in the Rylsky and Lgovsky districts. Alexander Khinshtein, Acting Governor of the Kursk region, announced this on May 31.

"Unfortunately, two more children were injured in the Lgovsky district due to a night attack: they have a mine-explosion injury, a moderate condition. They are now under the supervision of doctors," he wrote on his Telegram channel.

Khinstein clarified that among the victims in Rylsk, six people are in moderate condition, including two minors, and one man is in serious condition.

"Everyone is currently in the Kursk Regional Hospital. I am sure our doctors will do everything possible and impossible to get people back on their feet!" concluded the acting governor.

On the same day, Khinstein reported that drones had hit two five—story buildings in Rylsk: an apartment caught fire in one of them, flames spread to balconies, and in the second, a fire started on the third floor. In Lgovsky district, two buildings and a garage caught fire due to a drone attack. The fires were quickly extinguished.
