Trump called Musk 50% a genius and 50% a boy.

In conversations with his aides, US President Donald Trump described the former head of the Department of Government Efficiency (DOGE), Elon Musk, as "50% genius, 50% boy." This was reported on May 30 by The Wall Street Journal (WSJ), citing sources in the White House.
Musk has repeatedly clashed with high-ranking officials, as he often did not consult with any of them when making important decisions, the newspaper notes. According to unnamed White House staff, Trump was "surprised at how badly Musk behaved at one of the cabinet meetings towards other members of the US administration."
Some of the newspaper's interlocutors heard from Trump about another "proportion" in relation to Musk — "90% genius, 10% boy." However, the US president maintained a benevolent attitude towards Musk. At a joint press conference on May 30, he thanked the former head of DOGE for the work done and made it clear that he would continue to listen to the entrepreneur's advice.
On May 29, Musk announced that his term of office as a special civil servant was coming to an end. He also thanked Trump for the "opportunity to reduce wasteful spending" by the government. On May 30, the billionaire noted that he felt in a difficult position in the department due to disagreements with administration officials. According to the entrepreneur, he did not fully agree with many things, although it is difficult to admit this in an interview.
