A tanker truck with diesel fuel overturned in the Sakhalin region


On May 30, 1.5 tons of diesel fuel leaked in the Nevelsky district of the Sakhalin Region due to the overturning of a tanker truck. This was announced on May 31 by the press service of the Main Directorate (GU) of the Ministry of Emergency Situations in the region.
"The tanker was damaged, and 1.5 tons of diesel fuel leaked. Currently, the fuel has been pumped out of the tank. The issue of reclamation of the contaminated area is being resolved," the statement said.
It is noted that no one was injured in the incident.
Four specialists and a piece of equipment from the Sakhalin Region Fire and Rescue Service, as well as another person from the Ministry of Emergency Situations, carried out work at the scene.
Earlier, on February 14, fuel spilled onto the road after a tank overturned in the Magadan region. It is noted that the incident occurred on the 1395th km of the Kolyma federal highway. Material damage was caused to the vehicle.
