The ships of the Baltic Fleet practiced artillery firing as part of the exercises

Small anti-submarine ships of the Baltic Fleet conducted artillery firing at sea and air targets, and also practiced fighting unmanned boats as part of the exercises. This was announced on May 31 by the press service of the Baltic Fleet.
"During a planned exercise of the Baltic Fleet forces, which is being conducted in the Baltic Sea, small anti-submarine ships as part of a tactical group practiced repelling attacks by unmanned boats and unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) with practical artillery firing from 76.2-millimeter and 30—millimeter artillery installations," the statement said.
As part of the exercises, the destruction of floating sea mines that pose a danger to navigation was also practiced. 30-millimeter automatic AK-630 installations were used to combat the threat.
The diesel-powered submarine also fired torpedoes at a surface target that mimicked a simulated enemy ship.
"Later, the military personnel of the anti—sabotage forces and means of the enemy (SDSS) conducted an inspection of the water area adjacent to the bases and performed preventive anti-sabotage grenade throwing," the Baltic Fleet said.
More than 3,000 military personnel, as well as 20 warships, support vessels and boats were involved in the training events. About 25 planes and helicopters and up to 70 units of military and special equipment also took part.
