American country singer Taylor Swift has regained control of all her music by buying back the rights to her first six albums. This was reported on Friday, May 30, by the AP News publication.

"All the music I've ever created now belongs to me," says a statement on the singer's website.

Swift did not disclose the amount for which she bought the albums from the private investment company Shamrock Capital that owned them.

In recent years, Swift has been re-recording and releasing her first six albums in an attempt to regain control of intellectual property.

Earlier in October 2024, Pink Floyd decided to sell the rights to their songs to Sony Music. The terms of the deal also imply that the label will use the rights to goods and other products related to the band's name. The agreement was the conclusion of years of disputes between the band members over the terms of the music sale.
