A number of contractors returned the stolen funds to the budget of the Belgorod region

A number of contractors who built defensive structures returned the stolen funds to the budget of the Belgorod region after going to court. This was announced on May 30 by the governor of the region Vyacheslav Gladkov.

"After going to court and filing claims against organizations that participated in the construction of defensive structures and in respect of which violations were identified, a number of contractors returned funds to the budget," the Telegram channel says.

It is clarified that in this regard, the Office of Capital Construction (UKS) withdrew the lawsuit against these companies.

Gladkov reported on May 19 that 109 million rubles worth of violations had been detected in the Belgorod Region after an inspection in the construction of defensive structures. In addition, he noted that an overestimation of the cost of work on the part of contractors was detected.
