- The Federation Council spoke about expectations from the second round of negotiations with Ukraine

Grigory Karasin, Chairman of the Federation Council's International Affairs Committee, spoke about Russia's expectations from the second round of negotiations with Ukraine.
In conversation with aif.ru On Friday, May 30, he noted that the second round of negotiations would be held "at a more advanced stage," where specific issues would be discussed. The senator added that the Russian delegation would include participants in the first round of negotiations.
"I don't know what will happen from the Ukrainian side," Karasin said.
The meeting is expected to take place on Monday, June 2, in Istanbul.
Earlier in the day, Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov said that the Russian delegation would be ready for direct talks with Ukraine on June 2 in Istanbul.
On the same day, the official representative of the Russian Foreign Ministry, Maria Zakharova, stated that the Russian Federation has an open position on the settlement of the Ukrainian conflict. She stressed that before the second round of negotiations in Istanbul, the Kiev regime is "throwing a tantrum to get its own price."
On May 28, Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov said that Russia was ready to present a memorandum to Ukraine during the second round of negotiations. He expressed the hope that all parties interested in the success of the peace process would provide support for a new round of discussions.
