Russian President Vladimir Putin has instructed to ensure the provision of support measures to citizens affected by federal emergencies in the Belgorod and Kursk regions. The corresponding order was published on the Kremlin's official website on May 30.

"To ensure that citizens affected by federal emergencies in the territories of the Belgorod and Kursk regions are provided with support measures for each established violation of their living conditions and loss of essential property," the statement said.

In addition, the Russian leader instructed to provide additional insurance guarantees to employees of state-owned enterprises involved in law enforcement to those injured in the course of military operations, shelling of the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU), as well as terrorist acts.

The situation in the Kursk region was recognized as a federal emergency on August 9, 2024. In the Belgorod region, this provision has been in effect since August 15 of the same year.

Russian Prime Minister Mikhail Mishustin announced at a government meeting on April 2 that the Russian government would additionally allocate about 16 billion rubles to support residents of the Kursk Region who had lost their homes.
