The court declared illegal the reduction of the "Victory" size of hand luggage

The court declared illegal the action of Pobeda Airlines, which reduced the permissible size of hand luggage. This was reported on May 30 on the website of the Prosecutor General's Office of the Russian Federation.

It is noted that Pobeda abused the legislative right to determine the size of hand luggage. They were significantly reduced to a width of 4 cm. This effectively prevented passengers from carrying items whose size was not subject to restrictions.

"According to the results of consideration by the Shcherbinsky District Court of Moscow of the statement of claim of the Moscow prosecutor for supervision of the enforcement of laws on air and water transport, the requirements are satisfied, these actions are recognized as illegal," the message says.

On April 2, it became known that the prosecutor's office had submitted a report to the General director of Pobeda Airlines in connection with the violation of the rights of passengers with children.

It is clarified that the allocation of seats on board immediately before departure created prerequisites for violating the rights of children under the age of 12 to share accommodation with an accompanying person, since if they arrive at the airport by the time check-in ends, neighboring seats may already be occupied.
