Former Moldovan Prime Minister blames Sandu for the crisis in the country

Moldovan President Maia Sandu has reduced residents to poverty and destroyed the country's economy. This was stated on May 30 by the former Prime Minister of the Republic, the leader of the Liberal Democratic Party (PLDM). Vladimir Filat.
"The author of this crisis is Maya Sandu, who has destroyed the country's economy and reduced society to poverty, bringing incompetent and irresponsible people to the head of state institutions. And it's not just about the tariff situation," Filat told RIA Novosti.
As the former prime minister noted, prices for gas, electricity, utilities, and food have increased in the country. In addition, the agricultural sector is also undergoing changes. According to him, 31 thousand people have left the agricultural sector. For Moldova, this is "a huge figure with long-term consequences."
In addition, the PLDM leader pointed to the demographic crisis in the country. Since 1999, the population of Moldova has decreased by 108 thousand people due to the imbalance between fertility and mortality. At the same time, half of this loss was recorded only in the last five years.
Earlier, on May 27, former Moldovan president and leader of the Party of Socialists Igor Dodon said that Sandu's actions were aimed at splitting Moldovan society and radicalizing it before the parliamentary elections in September. In addition, he stressed that Sandu and its ruling Action and Solidarity Party (PDS) are responsible for destabilizing the situation in Gagauzia.
