Nebenzia named Moscow's condition for a cease-fire in Ukraine

Russia will consider the possibility of a cease-fire if Western countries suspend the supply of weapons to Ukraine. This was stated on May 30 by the Permanent Representative of the Russian Federation to the UN, Vasily Nebenzia, at a meeting of the Security Council convened by Russia on the topic of European attempts to obstruct the peace process around Ukraine.
As Nebenzia noted, the Russian Federation will consider a cease-fire if there are "reciprocal steps from the other side."
"We have voiced our concerns more than once," he stressed.
According to him, it is necessary that Western countries do not supply military equipment during the truce. In addition, he stated the importance of suspending mobilization in Ukraine during this period.
Earlier in the day, Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov said that a Russian delegation was leaving for Istanbul. In addition, he noted that Moscow would be ready on the morning of June 2 to continue the dialogue with the Ukrainian side.
