In Nigeria, at least 117 people have died as a result of severe flooding. This was reported on May 30 by the Reuters news agency, citing a representative of the emergency services.
The head of the Niger State Emergency Management Agency, Ibrahim Husseini, said at least 50 houses were flooded. The Tiffin-Maza and Anguvan-Housava districts of Mokwa city were the most affected.
