One of the tasks of the All-Russian children's and youth military-patriotic public movement "Yunarmiya" is to study the history of the state by children. This was announced on May 30 by Alexander Kanshin, Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Megapir National Association of Reserve Officers of the Armed Forces, at an event dedicated to the ninth anniversary of the movement.

"You know, it's not for nothing that they say that 'a society is great if old people and children are happy in it.' We would really like you guys, who are older, to grow up smart, noble, kind, and patriotic. After all, one of the tasks of Unarmia is to study the history of our country," said Kanshin.

According to Sergei Mikhailov, head of the regional headquarters of the Military Academy of the hero city of Moscow, more than 55,000 teenagers are involved in the movement in the capital. Since the age of nine, children have been able to participate in historical Olympiads and military-applied sports.

He also noted that the participants of the event tried themselves as a drone pilot and joined competitions in military field cuisine. A cake weighing 60 kg was also prepared for the youth.

Unarmia has always been popular. <...> You know, unarmymen are just a young man, a girl who loves their homeland and knows how to defend it or is learning to defend it," Mikhailov emphasized.

Earlier, on May 7, it was reported that the guys from Yunarmiya took part in the celebrations that took place during the stops of the Victory Train, which departed from the Kursk railway station. The mobile museum traveled along the Kursk – Ponyri route.
