The fire area on the territory of the Voronezh Biosphere Reserve in the Lipetsk region has reached 200 hectares. This was announced on May 30 by the press service of the Main Directorate (GU) of the Ministry of Emergency Situations in the region.
"The fire area in the Voronezh Nature Reserve has reached 200 hectares <...> There are two settlements near the center. There is no direct threat to them," the Telegram channel says.
The department noted that a large amount of smoke had formed due to the fire. In addition, more than 150 people and 55 pieces of equipment are currently involved in extinguishing the fire, as well as aviation from the Ministry of Emergency Situations of the Russian Federation.
On May 29, it became known that a fire broke out in the Voronezh Nature Reserve in the Lipetsk region. It was noted that the fire occurred as a result of a power line failure. Then the fire area was 40 hectares.
