The SKA hockey club from St. Petersburg on Friday, May 30, announced the resignation of the board of directors and operational management.

"Taking into account the failure to achieve the goals set for the main team in the last two seasons and the relegation in the second and first rounds of the playoffs, the full board of directors and the operational management resign with immediate effect," the HC website says.

In addition, it is noted that the new board of directors will be headed by Vitaly Markelov, and Nikita Stenichkin will become CEO.

On May 24, Spartak Moscow hockey club defeated SKA 1946 in the decisive match of the final playoff series of the Youth Hockey League (MHL) and won the Kharlamov Cup. The match ended with a score of 6:2.
