Moscow traffic police announced summer raids on child traffic violators

This summer, the Moscow State Traffic Inspectorate will conduct preventive measures to identify and prevent traffic violations by minors, including users of bicycles and personal mobility equipment, as well as moped drivers. The press service of the department reported this on May 30.

The State Traffic Inspectorate noted that in summer there are more children on the roads who travel on bicycles, electric scooters and ordinary scooters, as well as on motorcycles (pit bikes, cross-country motorcycles and mopeds)

In four months of 2025, one child was killed in an accident in Moscow, and 278 children were injured in various degrees of severity. Among the injured are 13 children on the SIM, seven children who were cyclists and four children who were driving motorcycles.

The day before, it was reported that the Ministry of Transport published a draft amendment to the rules of the road (SDA), explaining the duties of drivers when approaching vehicles with special signals turned on. In the same document, the Ministry proposed introducing the concept of a "child restraint system (device)" into the traffic regulations and defining what exactly applies to these systems.
