Analysts named the most popular things for insurance

According to the results of the first three months of 2025, 16% of all insured cargoes were spare parts. Insurance of documents and components ranks second and third in terms of the number of insured cargoes (14% of all cargoes on the platform), analysts of the digital insurance support platform Zunami told Izvestia on May 30.

Experts note that the demand for insurance of spare parts, equipment and components is consistently high, and they held leading positions in the first quarter of 2024 and 2023.

Such goods are more often transported along difficult routes, some of them require special transportation conditions. This explains the high demand from cargo owners for a fast and transparent logistics insurance solution.

According to experts from the Skif-Cargo federal transport company, the market for transportation of spare parts, equipment and documents is showing steady growth. This is due to the growing demand for cars, increased investment in infrastructure and modernization in the industrial sector, as well as the growth of business activity in general.

"Companies are actively updating their spare parts stocks and ensuring the smooth operation of services. In conditions of economic instability and increased competition, the importance of reliable logistics and cargo insurance is increasing," said Mikhail Koptev, Commercial Director of the Skif-Cargo Federal transport Company.

According to Artem Efimov, CEO of Zunami, over the past three years, the share of streaming insurance across all types of insurance has steadily increased by more than 22% on average year on year. The demand for digitalization and automation of insurance processes in logistics continues to grow.

Earlier, on May 28, Izvestia reviewed a study by experts from insurance broker Mains, which reported that more than half of Russians always use travel insurance. According to the study, more than half of the survey participants (56%) reported that they always buy travel insurance. About a quarter (24.5%) do this before traveling abroad, one in eight (12.4%) — when traveling in Russia, and one in five (19.1%) — when traveling both inside and outside the country.
