All hiking trails have been opened in the Baikal National Park

All tourist routes have been reopened in the Baikal National Park. This is reported by IA IrkutskMedia with reference to the press service of the Federal State Budgetary Institution "Zapovednoe Pribaikalie".
The decision to open the routes is due to an increase in air humidity, as well as a decrease in temperature on the western coast of Lake Baikal.
The news agency clarifies that eight trails were closed on May 5. The reason was the hot, dry weather and, as a result, the high fire risk in the forests.
A special fire protection regime continues to operate on the territory of the national park itself until at least June 2.
